Stewardship & Micro-Tithing

The Micro-Tithing Charter

Stewardship at The Foundry is the faithful, consistent offering of one's provision in acknowledgment that God is the source of all provision. Micro-tithing is the practice of giving small, consistent offerings as an act of worship, trust, and obedience.

Understanding Tithing vs Micro-Tithing

Traditional Tithing: 10%

The word "tithe" comes from the Hebrew word meaning "tenth." Traditional biblical tithing calls believers to give 10% of their income to God's work, as established in scripture.

"A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord." — Leviticus 27:30

Micro-Tithing: Starting at 1%

We understand that for many—especially those in recovery, facing financial hardship, or just beginning their faith journey—10% may feel overwhelming. Micro-tithing asks for a minimum of just 1% of your income as a starting point.

For someone earning $2,000/month, that's just $20—the cost of a few cups of coffee—to participate in faithful stewardship.

Why Micro-Tithing? Scripture affirms that God honors faithfulness over amount. The widow's two small coins were praised above the wealthy's large gifts (Mark 12:43-44). Micro-tithing allows everyone to participate in the blessing of giving, building the habit of stewardship that can grow over time as God provides.

The Foundry Stewardship Principle

The Foundry affirms that stewardship is a voluntary act of worship and spiritual formation. Participation in giving shall never be compulsory or used to determine spiritual standing, membership eligibility, or pastoral care.

✦ Each offering, regardless of amount, is received as an act of worship and trust. ✦

Blessings of Faithful Stewardship

Spiritual Formation

Daily surrender through faithful stewardship shapes your heart and deepens your walk with Christ.

Faithfulness in Small Things

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." — Luke 16:10

The Widow's Offering

Like the widow praised by Jesus, your faithful offering—regardless of amount—is honored by God (Mark 12:43-44).

Community Impact

Your consistent giving supports discipleship, teaching, outreach, and ministry development.

Biblical Obedience

"Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops." — Proverbs 3:9

Sacred Trust

Leadership accepts stewardship responsibility as a sacred trust, exercising transparency and accountability.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

— Malachi 3:10
